1.
I felt a kind of pity And all that sort of things I took the law into my own hands And the events that led up to the war I lay where I have fallen It didn’t lie with me I should like more time I should like to know why I felt it getting hot A page littered with mistakes But, just how many I don’t know Because I told them to go away I lay where I have fallen It didn’t lie with me I should like more time I should like to know why I’m not one to take things lying down Although I live on hope And even if The words don’t fit Together, I promise I won’t walk away That and nothing else It’s all that I can say But you don’t forget I’ll do my level best I felt about in the dark Trailing behind broken dreams Where the plants grow in the ground Although everything’s really as it seems I lay where I have fallen It didn’t lie with me I should like more time I should like to know why I’m not one to take things lying down Although I live on hope And even if The words don’t fit Together, I promise I won’t walk away That and nothing else It’s all that I can say But you don’t forget I’ll do my level best
2.
You could have got down on your knees you could have said please But you can’t get it right climbing Over walls At dead of night You wouldn’t believe how much I cried When I watched the law take another child But you can’t get it right climbing Over walls At dead of night Nowadays hero You are less than zero Sooner or later you will have to change You made rich by publishing my songs But love always came out wrong But you can’t get it right climbing Over walls At dead of night I’ll never forget all the good times Although you’ve left me far behind But I can’t get it right climbing Over walls At dead of night Nowadays hero You are less than zero Sooner or later you will have to change
3.
The moon is over there Covered up with sores Lighting the sky from a wet hole And closing the doors on the world The moon is still over there And I really don’t care Who she had been with before If she’s got a key to lock every door But she’s laughing at you And she’s waiting an answer from you soon I guess you know by now There’s a heaven waiting For all good and bad lovers Wrapped around broken flowers But she’s... And there’re no circles to go around Like no miracles to be found And there’re no failures called success Like no water at the desert
4.
Cows, pigs, wars and witches again News hot from the fucking press Humpbacked men balance on a knife edge And a lot of questions of public interest But they have been for... As long as we have known And they can take plenty of hard knocks They would be able to laugh at themselves But least of all would I wish to offend Although that’s the kind of things I mean Cows, pigs, wars, witches and press But they have been for... As long as we have known And they can take plenty of hard knocks
5.
I’m going on my hands and knees The beer has a hold on me And I see the game was up Although I’d give my life To know the reason why I want to hit my head Against a wall, because I’m really sick at heart Although I’d give my life To know the reason why My hair is frosted over And my feet are like ice But I go off into the desert Although I’d give my life To know the reason why We can’t change the ground Rules at this stage They won On their own And I went the shortest way
6.
First one Better than the last one But they wouldn’t come inside Come inside... I can’t Go by looks alone But I should have done it long before It long before Where does it hurt you? It’s only a gentle reminder You can’t keep from wishing that... They leave you till last They leave you till last Till last Sad lights Sad times, sad crimes Wrong words I used to say I used to say No one To ask, nowhere to go We were lost and feeling low And feeling low Where does it hurt you? It’s only a gentle reminder You can’t keep from wishing that... They leave you till last They leave you till last Till last
7.
Mostly unseen And you know it The time is passing by But don’t let it get you down And save up all your pride Sweet and odd Follow the wind And let me get the sadness Like something I feel it mine And it never seems to change Mothers come, mothers go And they’re gliding to the door The party has... The clock is ticking on It’s late to get drunk The party has begun Lovely child If you could hear If you could see Who takes a look around And says there’s no way out Which comes next? Likes or dislikes It’s hard to choose But isn’t hard to find A sad piece of news Mothers come, mothers go And they’re gliding to the door The party has... The clock is ticking on It’s late to get a drunk The party has begun
8.
I came from the Bible land The news damage me hard But with my sins and mistakes With my hard look and my pain You can imagine how I felt Terribly lonely out there Trying to take my own faith As near as I can recall The fascist christ superstar Didn’t believe it himself And he was like everybody else You can imagine how I felt Terribly lonely out there Trying to take my own faith The big cross rolls on and on And I admit I was wrong The big cross rolls on and on But I haven’t got that long
9.
G 03:23
Go against the tide Forget your pain And feel yourself The voice of rain Climb over a wall But keep on the ground You should become Longer in your arms When you’re so tired and all alone And the words lose its meanings at all Turn the world With your magic wand And cure yourself Your open wound When you’re so tired and all alone And the words lose its meanings at all
10.
Between my bones and my skin There’s blood and there’s meat There’s veins and also speed And nothing more to see Between my bones and my skin There’s... Needles and pills But I don’t know how can it be There’s... Guts and tin But there’s nothing that can gainfully be taken Between my bones and my skin Also there’s dreams and sea There’s pain and there’s pith And nothing more to feel Between my bones and my skin There’s... Hammers and nails But I don’t know how can it be There’s... Bullets and pitchs But there’s nothing that can gainfully be taken

THE PRIBATA IDAHO’s third album shows a very self-assured band, sage and experienced but without losing the freshness every good pop band should always keep. They’ve achieved that good oldies sound bringing it closer and making it modern, timeless and eternal, like in the best classics. They’ve escaped the easy arrangements and classic structures, looking for the most suitable atmosphere to enhance the beauty of each melody, and Carlos Torero’s production lets us know the work they’ve done in composition, as the beautiful basslines on “Nowadays Hero”. In this song we find as well the very personal colaborationship by Murky and Guiller from eccentric popsters PATRULLERO MANCUSO, whilst another common friend, Olaf Ladousse from SOLEX, leaves the unmistakable mark of his homemade pedals by the end of “A Gentle Reminder”. Other guests in this record are Carlos Torero and David Gwynn in the exuberant eastern passage which comes after the restrained psychedelia of “Cows, Pigs, Wars And Witches”.

“A Gentle Reminder” shows a different psychedelia, optimistic and full of light this time, with an introduction in a pure delightful 60’s way. “Miseries Collector” is a mid-tempo arranged with a jazzy clarinet as that in “Nowadays Hero”, and “G” isn obsessive psychedelic rant coming back in its reprise “G Again”.

In spite of the pessimistic, wasted feeling which a few titles could transmit (“Miseries Collector”, “Mothers Of Destruction”...), it’s enough with one listen to the smiley introduction of “A Gentle Reminder” or the great chorus in “That Kind Of Pity” to see that the album’s title couldn’t be other than “Hope”, before a brilliant future for a band which has already become a legend in the Spanish pop history.
